Rain Hinders Roofing Progress

You all may be aware that the library is going through some “reconstructive surgery” right now but Mother Nature is putting her hand in there also. Since the contractors have been busy up on the roof it seems that it has been raining more days than not and this has caused some flooding throughout the building, and especially on the fifth floor. Please use caution when walking around on the fifth floor…there are buckets to catch the water but even these get full and run over leaving puddles and wet spots that housekeeping can not get cleaned up fast enough. If you are in a part of the library and notice water “seeping” in through places that it should not, please notify the administrative offices or the circulation desk so that we can call and have someone come over to take a look at it.

Add your name to the Popular Reading waiting list

Have you been waiting to catch the latest best-seller on the popular reading shelf, but someone else seems to beat you to it every time? A new feature has been added to the online catalog, allowing you to request popular reading books. Previously, patrons had to ask Library staff to request these books for them.

If the book you request is available on the shelf, Library staff will hold it in your name for one week at the Circulation Desk. If the book you request is currently checked out, your name will be placed on a waiting list, and the Library will e-mail you when the book is available for you.
