Do you remember the first book that made you laugh, made you scared, or made you rethink the world? Chances are someone has tried to have that book removed from a United States library.
All kinds of books - including JK Rowling’s “Harry Potter,” Shel Silverstein’s “Light in the Attic,” and Daniel Pinkwater’s “Captain Underpants” series - have been targeted for all kinds of reasons. This year, McConnell Library has a display celebrating recently challenged books. Stop by the bulletin board located in between the Reference and Circulation Desks and browse through some of the books in our collection that someone, somewhere, doesn’t want you to read!

There are six new group study rooms on Level 2 on the Alumni Garden side of the building. Each room has a lovely view of the garden and a table with chairs. Eventually we hope to add whiteboards and artwork.
The rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
