Transitioning to APA 6th edition

APA released a new edition this summer. The library will spend the fall semester updating our color-coded guide and workshops to reflect the changes. Candice Benjes-Small, Information Literacy Coordinator and Library Instruction Team Leader, and Theresa Burriss, Director of LARC, will hold informational sessions for faculty and other interested parties in October and November to discuss the new 6th edition.

We know that some professors have moved to 6th while others have remained with 5th. During the fall semester, the library workshops will continue to teach and the LARC tutors will refer to the 5th edition. Both the library and the LARC have copies of the 6th edition for students to consult independently. In the spring, we will officially drop support for APA 5th and move to 6th.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact Theresa or Candice:
