Tuesday, February 20, 2007, 12:30-1:30
McConnell Library Classroom B
Looking for good resources for Communications and Media Studies? Come to a brown-bag and learn how to use Communication and Mass Media Complete, a powerful communication and media studies database. We’ll explore many of the features in this new resource.
We’ll also dig deeper into the advanced functions of Lexis-Nexis Academic, and learn how to find such things as transcripts of public radio programs, articles from international newspapers, book reviews, and more. The session will be hosted by Gene Hyde, Reference/Instruction Librarian and Appalachian Collection Librarian. Bring your questions and your curiosity!
If you would like us to send you an Outlook appointment for the session, or if you are unable to attend but would like a copy of the handouts, please send an e-mail to Gene, wehyde@radford.edu
Brown bag sessions are intended for faculty and staff, but students who are interested in the topics are also welcome!
