Gerontological Nursing: Current Practice and Research

Can a health care practitioner ever tap the current research and make it viable for clinical practice?

On Tuesday November 28 from 12:30-1:30 in the McConnell Library Radford Room Dr. Burggraf will discuss the Healthy People document and her attempt to edit a text where the research evidence, in the health care of older adults, was molded into a clinical practice framework. Healthy People is a document that is researched every decade and launched by the Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS) for every population group. It is the “Bible” by which we are to be guided in our practice and curriculum development.
