Introducing a new database: Web of Science

Web of Science provides citations to articles in over 9,600 journals in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities.

Our subscription includes Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index, with coverage from 1976 to present. You may link to articles in journals available to Radford.

In addition to its wide coverage of significant scholarly literature, Web of Science provides two additional features:

  • the “cited reference search,” which allows you to find articles or authors that have been cited in other works, and
  • the “times cited” link that shows the number of times a particular article has been cited and provides a list of articles that have cited this article.

To learn more about Web of Science, come to our brown bag session Wednesday, September 13, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in McConnell Library, Classroom B.
