As you can see from the photos, we have sprung a leak that effects the 3rd, 4th, and 5th levels. During regular maintenance of the sprinkler system, a large amount of water spread from the 5th level equipment room near Archives to the microfilm reader area in Media Services on level 4, down to the bank of computers in the Reference Area on level 3.
The cleaning crew is here with Wet-Vacs and mops, and the source of the leak has been found and dealt with. The Library remains open, with Media Services and Reference a little pre-occupied with clean-up. You may want to wear rubber shoes and bring an umbrella. It’s not that bad, but we do ask you to use caution until we get everything cleaned up.
