$500 Library Research Awards Applications due 4/24

The deadline to apply for the Winesett Awards for Library Research is Friday, April 24, at 4 pm. The best entries will be published in the Archives of the Winesett Scholars, and two winners (one freshman/sophomore, one junior/senior) will be awarded $500 prizes.

McConnell Library presents these awards in recognition of creative and original library research completed by Radford University undergraduate students. Papers and projects completed for classes during Spring 2008, Summer 2008, Fall 2008, and Spring 2009 are eligible.

The winners will be announced at the Winesett Awards for Library Research Reception, held on the 4th floor of McConnell Library, at 4 pm on Friday, May 1. All RU faculty, students, and staff are invited to this celebration of student achievement.

To apply, you will need to submit the paper or project (drafts are okay for Spring 2009 works); a letter of support from your professor; an essay describing your library research; and a cover letter.
